Scholarship RecipientThe Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the 2005 Kathryn Fry Altrusa Scholarship recipient, Julie Lynn Kimball, formerly of St. Mary’s, now residing in Parkersburg. A letter of recommendation from her part-time employer states that she displays attributes of flexibility, responsibility, advocacy, commitment, and dedication. Julie works part-time with mentally challenged individuals and is a full-time student at WVU-P with an undeclared major. She states in her application that this scholarship will allow her to work less hours and afford her more time to devote to her studies. |

About ScholarshipThe scholarship committee requests submissions for applicants for the various scholarship activities provided by Altrusa of Parkersburg. The committee is also responsible for reviewing applications and making recommendations regarding who should receive any available scholarships. Altrusa International Inc. of Parkersburg WV. awards a $1000 scholarship each year to a
resident of Wood County, WV or Belpre, Ohio. The award will be based upon academic performance
and need. The award is for a person enrolled in post-secondary education. Preference will
be given to female applicants who are able to show ability to succeed in chosen field of
study and need for financial assistance. The deadline for applications is March 15th. The
